Higher education career tracking (IT)

The objective of Higher education career tracking – unlike the IAD – is to examine the relation between studies and labour market, and reveals the higher education career pathways dinamically from the very beginning of the studies of students admitted to the IT study field. In the course of Higher Education Career Tracking anonym administrative data from different sources (National State Treasury, Health Insurance Fund, Ministry of Finance) are linked to the Higher Education Information System data managed by the Educational Authority.

The 2018 research examined the beginner grades who commenced their studies from the 2009/10 academic year to the 2013/14 academic year. The time horizon of the research runs from July 2009 to December 2017. The study population consisted of first year IT students, regardless of whether they finally obtained a diploma or dropped out.

With the Higher education career tracking, the students in informatics field and their career paths can be tracked over a longer period of time, thus revealing the impact of studies, work-related studies, and higher education outcomes on the future career path as such. The interactive analytical web tool will help you to review all of this more easily.
